Have you ever taken the time to enjoy real maple syrup? I do not mean the pancake syrup filled with high fructose corn syrup. I mean actual real maple syrup produced from real maple trees? It is a bit more pricey but well worth the experience because the taste is so different and natural.

Why should you care? Because of December 17, 2016, is National Maple Syrup Day! It is a day for us in North America to enjoy and respect the awesome product known as real maple syrup. It brings thoughts of a forest full of maple trees with buckets and buckets nature’s liquid gold.

Because of this, we have come across an article that has plenty of healthy recipes that involve maple syrup.  Real maple syrup has many health benefits compared to refined sugar products so getting these recipes may just be what the doctor ordered. Let’s get started.

For a great addition to your breakfast, especially for the vegetarians is brownie batter breakfast bake.  How can you go wrong with rolled oats, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and chocolate chips? This looks like a chocolate lover’s delight.

The wrap is low carb, but inside is filled with chicken, salsa, real maple syrup and jalapeños. This one is quite tasty and well worth the time to make for lunch or even a light snack.
