Sales of portable gaming monitors have been increasing month on month from early 2016 to the present day. We found the HP to offer a truly excellent all round experience, which is nearly as good as a conventional stand-alone monitor. It is currently priced at just $135, so if you are on a budget, this could be the portable monitor for your needs.
Because it works with a 1600 x 900 resolution, it is able to use less power than more of the higher resolution monitors that are for sale. So if you constantly need to use a monitor away from a power source, this is a good feature to have. It weighs just two pounds, so it can be slipped into your bag with ease. We have found the S140u to be well built, which means if it does fall to the ground for any reason, it won’t smash into a million pieces. The flip case that the monitor comes with is able to protect the screen when not in use as well. The cover can also double as a stand to prop up the monitor for game playing, if required.All in all, this is a great all-rounder, and should be on your short list of potential purchases.
Gechic 1503H
Another option which you should look at is the Gechic 1503H. Maybe not the most well-known monitor brand, but this shouldn’t put you off in our opinion. What sets this model apart from the competition is the truly fantastic 15-inch high definition display that it comes with. Sure, you will have to pay a little bit more for this privilege, but we feel that it is worth it. We found the quality of the colors to be bright and vibrant, which look as good as a normal stand-alone monitor. You can also use a power bank as a source of power instead of a USB cable if you are away from a power source.
