For the Los Angeles online reputation management company hearing about all the WannaCry Ransomware issues raises some concerns since many private files can be released onto the Internet and shared with the public. If this occurs, even though it isn’t a businesses fault that this happens, a pissed consumer might say that they should’ve had a better malware protection system set up in the first place for this not to happen. If private files get leaked to the public, their customers will not trust most businesses anymore and there may be a lot of negative reviews written about companies for something that is not quite in their control, or is it?
Ransomware cyberattacks have existed for many years but only recently they have reached a new level of maturity and menace says the software security giant Symantec. Many malware researchers have been identifying certain parts of it that could disable the Ransomware and to also fix those vulnerabilities in real time. Now Microsoft has warned everyone to update their Microsoft and always run malware detection tests on their computers along with having security installed as well. It is important for the governments of the world to see this as a wake up call and they need to take a different approach and adhere in cyberspace to the same rules applied to weapons in the physical world said Smith. It is said that most people affected by the Ransomware and WannaCry paid the money to get their files back instead of contacting authorities of cyber security for advice on what to do or help on the situation. Now people will learn to back up all of their files in case another cyberattack occurs since there will be another one approaching.
