Car detailing is a service generally offered by the car wash businesses. These days, most people who go for car wash also go for car waxing and detailing as it makes the car look like a new one. So, if you are into the car wash business already, you can take up a detailing café franchise as well. The good thing here is that since you know the business very well, you would not need much research. Also, you would have a good customer base already. So your marketing costs would come down. If you want to go for a detailing cafe franchise, here is what you need to do.3

Get a Business Permit

You might need to get a business permit and tax certificate as per the laws in your city. In case you need some special license to run a separate detailing café, you may need to get it. So, make sure you complete all your paperwork in advance.

Get your Merchandise

This is a very good idea to promote your business initially. When customers come to you to get their cars washed, you can hand over your business card to them. When they would know that you offer car detailing service as well, they would come to you for that. Also, if any of their friends or relativesneed the car detailing service, they would recommend you. Another good idea would be to get a magnetic vehicle sign. And you can attach it to the cars that come to your car wash.

Buy your Equipment

You would need specific equipment for the car detailing business. For example, cleaning chemicals, auto wax, tire cleaners, wheel cleaners and various other tools for detailing interiors as well as the exteriors of the car. So, get them handy. It would be a good idea to select a local shop where you get all this equipment. Once you do that, even the shop owner would recommend you in case someone asks them about a detailing café franchise nearby.

Get the Tools Ready

Apart from the specific car detailing equipment as suggested above, you would also need some more tools. For example, cleaning towels, plastic buckets and brushes, cleaning sponges and so on. And you would also need a cleaning mechanism for these tools. So, you can either hire staff for this purpose or fix a cleaning shop. In the case of latter, you would need to pay transportation charges extra though.

Spare a Day for Advertising

When you are just starting out on your new franchise, you might want to advertise it well. After all, your initial sales would give you a boost. So, it might be a good idea to conduct an advertising campaign at your car wash site itself. You can hang those big banners suggesting the opening of your new business. And you can also give promotional discounts to the customers who get their cars washed on that particular day. This would increase your sales 2 fold as you would get profit in both businesses.
